Visual Arts
Students move through a curriculum that develops the basic skills leading them to freedom in creating their own works. In art class, students learn a variety of techniques such as rendering, print-making, water-colors, and acrylics. Our program teaches the elements of design, form and composition. Further, Grace has a ceramics studio where students can learn various throwing and sculpting techniques.
In the spring, student artwork is shown at the Masur Museum of Art.
In Middle School, our curriculum includes an Art Appreciation course that provides historical perspective to the world’s masterworks.
